Why Choose Equine Massage Therapy?

Equine massage therapy is a specialized practice that focuses on the physical and emotional well-being of your horse.
Here are some key benefits:

Improved Circulation

Massage stimulates blood flow, which can help reduce inflammation and promote healing.

Pain Relief

Massage can alleviate pain from injuries, arthritis, and overuse, ensuring your horse remains comfortable and happy.

Faster Recovery

For horses in training or those recovering from injury, massage can speed up the recovery process by reducing muscle stiffness and soreness.

Improved Range of Motion

Keeping your horse's joints and muscles flexible ensures better movement and performance.

Enhanced Muscle Function

Regular massage helps maintain muscle tone and flexibility, preventing injuries and improving performance.

Stress Reduction

Horses can experience stress just like humans. Massage therapy helps calm your horse, reducing anxiety and behavioral issues.

At Alogo Equine Massage, we are dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of your horses through professional massage therapy. Our certified equine massage therapists are passionate about horses and have extensive experience in providing tailored massage treatments that promote relaxation, improve circulation, and aid in the recovery of injuries.

I've been passionate about horses
all of my life.

As a teenager I showed extensively in the children’s hunter and fox hunter divisions at local and rated shows. As an adult I’ve continued riding and learning more about the horse and how the horse’s body does the amazing things it does.

I’m a graduate of Equissage International Inc and MidWest-Natural Healing for Animals. I’m eager to show owners and riders the difference massage can make!

What My Clients Say

You can tell Katie loves her job and that the horses love her back. Katie has great knowledge and works to keep up and continue her education in the field.

I cannot say enough good things about Katie. First, she is knowledgeable and experienced but stays at the top of her field by always learning. Second, she is 100 million % dedicated to her equine clients and their well being – she is reliable, steady, and cares sooooo much! My Sandy has arthritis and belly issues. She does get joint injections and plenty of vet care but Katie’s work has a huge impact too. Sandy looks for Katie and even gave her a PONY HUG and that is ‘nuff said. My Mooshoo (OTTB) has had many health struggles. Katie is a huge part of his team from scar tissue breakup to helping him relax during EPM recovery to reducing his back and neck tension and helping his belly with a special sequence. She is willing to work hand in hand with others to keep my two at their best. Moo loves her and looks for her visits. Plus she always has cookies, even special fat pony ones and brings a personalized level of care to each appointment!! We LOVE alogo equine massage and will be Katie’s clients forever!!

I was a total massage skeptic. Not anymore!! I have seen so much improvement in my horses in the past 9 months since Katie started coming to our barn. I wish it was something that i could afford to do for all of our horses every month. Katie is very knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge. She’s definitely an expert in her field and she is always teaching us something on her monthly visits. She’s a great person and a great massage therapist. Our horses love when she comes and they are so much better for it!

Alogotherapy Benefits for your horse.

Equine massage improves muscle tone and elongates connective tissue. This results in an expanded range of motion—longer strides, faster speeds and increased endurance, all of which enhance the athletic capability of a horse. Massage also helps to prevent muscle atrophy during long periods of inactivity resulting from illness. By increasing the flow of nutrient-rich blood to muscles, massage helps to speed up the healing process after an injury, reduces recovery time after competition or strenuous exercise, and flushes out toxins as well as excess fluids that have accumulated in muscle tissues. Massage also stimulates the lymphatic system, which is essential for fighting disease. Equine massage is also credited with improving learning and training, which may be due to increased blood flow to the brain as well as the mental relaxation induced by the massage. Equine Massage is not a replacement for proper vet care.
